The story started in 2011 when the Excellence Centre in Palestine started its work to serve the Palestinian community including children, young and adults. The centre began as a meeting point between the Palestinians and internationals through educational programs aimed at enhancing the skills of the Palestinian community members in different fields. These fields include English classes, writing skills, life-skills trainings, seminars, entertainment activities, musical events and many more.
The work of the Excellence Centre has reached many members within the Palestinian community. The name of the centre became one of the distinguished names in all Hebron as an educational destination for those who want to learn a language or a skill. In its 9 years the centre has managed to teach around 20,000 local students from all age groups who come from all places in the city of Hebron including remote villages.
On the other side, the centre has achieved another goal to make the centre a desirable destination for internationals who come from around 40 counters around the world. The centre has hosted so for more than 1000 internationals from all continents and who have joined various educational programs including volunteer programs, internships and language programs. They provide a lot of help for Palestinians, especially in teaching English which is one of the most desirable languages Palestinians are eager to learn.
The centre’s great success generated another idea which was to extend the nature of the centre’s work to include more topics and educational fields. This led to the establishment of the Palestinian centre known as Engage in Palestine , the centre offers group volunteer programs that deal with kids, refugees and local school students. In addition, internship programs offered by the centre began to include new topics and fields including Law, Human Rights, Islamic Culture, Refugees, Media, Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Trade and Industry in Palestine and others.
Did we stop there? The answer is No. The ongoing success of both centres has pushed us to start our work in Germany, specifically in city of Halle, the southernmost part of the North German Plain, on the River Saale. The Excellence Centre in Europe started to offer educational programs to both locals and internationals in 2018. The centre has had a great impact on refugees, migrants and local community as well as on the internationals who come from different countries and backgrounds.
Due to the widespread Coronavirus in the world the significance of online learning is increasing more than ever. The three centres became one and the programs offered by the three became available on one platform called “Let’s Learn Online”. Just as it sounds, let’s learn online and use our time wisely and live with the new reality with great positivity, understanding and learning new things.
